Zen Day 8: Letting Go (again)

Well, that’s a first…guess the universe is trying to tell me something?  Makes me think of of the thunderbolt card’s commentary where the teacher keeps repeating himself to his student…maybe I need a little banging on the head?

We had a fabulously peaceful day yesterday, working in the front and back yards all day long in an attempt to tire ourselves out to see if we would be able to sleep better.  We rewarded ourselves with a date night to Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro, a cheesy local chain that we normally don’t go to, but we were given a gift certificate and it was Oscars night and we don’t have a tv at home…sooo, yeah, we sat at the restaurant bar to split a sandwich and watch the Oscars with closed captioning – ha!  Cheesy restaurant and all, we had a great meal, good company, and a fun time catching some of the Oscars.

Now that we’ve come to day 8, that means we’re more than half-way done with the Lupron!  Things are moving along at quite a clip now.  I think I may pull out my dog-eared copy of The Couple’s Guide to In Vitro Fertilization to do some last-minute review.  I highly recommend this book; even though it’s a few years old (and thereby a little outdated), it is full of incredibly useful information that I would have been lost without.  It lays out the process very simply and provides a number of tips, questions to ask, and conversations to have as you plan for and undergo the IVF process.

Recap of Day 7: Nothing new to report!  Working in the yard and not napping really helped with the sleeping situation.  I woke up a few times during the night, but went right back to sleep (same with BD).
